General Booking Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policies
 

Important Information

  • Please be advised that as of 1st July 2025, our hotel will be undergoing minor renovations to enhance your future experience with us. We are doing our utmost to minimize any disruption, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
  • Rates are quoted in EUR and include VAT, service charges, and taxes.
  • A valid credit or debit card is required to secure your booking. We reserve the right to pre-authorise your card before or after arrival.
  • Payment will be taken the night before arrival. Please ensure the card provided has sufficient funds (Please contact reception should you wish to update your card details)
  • Advance Purchase Bookings require full payment at the time of reservation. These are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Some rates are non-refundable. In the case of a no-show, the full booking amount will be charged.
  • The hotel reserves the right to cancel any reservation at any time, even after cancellation terms have lapsed.
  • Please note that bikes and golf equipment are not permitted in the hotel bedrooms.
  • All room rates are based on 2 people sharing, unless otherwise stated. If guests arrive with additional individuals, such as children, an extra charge will apply. To ensure we can accomodate everyone comfortably, it is essential to inform the reservation team prior to arrival. Failure to do so may result in us not being able to guarantee a suitable room.

General Terms

  • Check-in: From 3:00 PM (early check-in available upon request, subject to availability)
  • Check-out: By 11:00 AM (late check out available upon request, subject to availability)
  • Please contact us in advance regarding any dietary needs, meal times, or accessibility requirements.
  • All rooms include a shower; a bath is available on request and subject to availability.
  • We will do our best to accommodate all reasonable requests, but fulfilment cannot be guaranteed.
  • Direct bookings - the total cost of your reservation will be charged 24 hours prior to arrival. All other bookings will be charged 5 days prior to arrival
  • Third Party Booking: ie Booking.com,  please see your providers booking confirmation for full terms & conditions.
  • The hotel reserves the right to cancel any reservation at any time, even after the cancellation period has passed.

Minimum Check-in Age Policy

This Policy is in place to ensure the comfort, safety , and well-being of all our guests:

  • Please note that the minimum age to cheack in at our Hotel is 18 years old. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the time of check-in and for the duration of the stay.

Cancellation Policy

  • Booking deposits are non-refundable.
  • Cancellations made 48 hours before check-in incur no additional charges.
  • Cancellations made after this time or no-shows will be charged 100% of the booking value.
  • Advance Purchase Bookings require full payment at the time of reservation. These rates are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • By booking an Advance Purchase Rate, you waive all rights to cancellation, amendment or refund regrdless of circumstance.
  • The hotel reserves the right to cancel any reservation at any time, even after the cancellation period has passed.

Group Booking Policy (4 rooms or more in addition to all other terms)
 
This Policy applies to group bookings of 4 or more rooms, in addition to all other Hotel terms and conditions.
 
1. Notice & Deposits
 
  • Group bookings or stays of 4+ nights require at least 4 weeks’ notice for cancellations.
  • A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the reservation, unless otherwise stated
  • Balance of reservation is due 4 weeks prior to arrival, unless otherwise stated
  • Rooming list to be provided along with final payment.
2. Credit Card Details
 
  • Group reservations will require a valid credit card to be held on each room – this can be provided on arrival
3. Cancellations & Refunds
 
  • Cancellation policy on group bookings is 4 weeks prior to arrival.   
  • In the event of a cancellation outside cancellation policy, the booking deposit, if applicable, cannot be refunded under any circumstances. 
  • Any cancellations before the 4 week cancellation poilcy will be offered a refund or the amount can be offset against final payments due.
  • After the 4-week cancellation period has passed, if the number of rooms is decreased, no refund of deposit paid will be issued for the reduced rooms.
  • Rooming list to be provided along with final payment.
4. Modifications & Additions
 
  • Rooms may be added to the booking after final payment, subject to availability.
  • Full payment for additional rooms is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation.
5. Hotel Rights
 
  • The Hotel reserves the right to cancel any reservation at any time, even after the cancellation period has passed.

Dining Information

  • Dining time requests are noted as preferences and are subject to availability.
  • Breakfast times are from 8am - 10:30am, daily. Earlier breakfast times are available upon request and subject to availability.
  • Food is served daily until 9:00 PM throughout the hotel.
  • Corkage fees apply for alcohol not purchased on the premises. Our bar offers a wide selection for your convenience.

No Smoking Policy

  • All rooms are strictly non-smoking
  • Designated smoking areas are available throughout the Hotel
  • Smoking in guest rooms or any non-smoking area will incur a €300 fine
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a clean and healthy environment for all guests.
 

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Policy

At present, the hotel does not provide on-site electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities.

 

Guests travelling with electric vehicles are responsible for locating suitable public charging points prior to arrival and for ensuring that their vehicle can be adequately charged for their stay and onward journey.

 

The hotel is unable to offer:

·         On-site Charging

·         Use of external sockets for vehile charging

·         Extension leads or charging adapters 

 

For safety, insurance, and operational reasons, charging of vehicles from any hotel power supply is strictly prohibited.

 

We recommend that guests plan their journey in advance using public charging networks and mapping tools to identify nearby charging locations.

 

The hotel is currently exploring options to install EV charging units in the future and appreciates guests’ patience and understanding while this is being reviewed.

 

The hotel accepts no responsibility for any inconvenience, delays, or costs incurred as a result of unavailable or incompatible charging facilities.

 


Hotel Car Parking
 

Parking is located at the rear of the Hotel and is free for Hotel guests and patrons. By using the car park, you agree tot he following:

  • Park at you own risk - we do our best to keep the car park safe, but the Hotel is not resposible for any loss, theft, or damage to vehicles or belongings
  • Availability - Parking spaces are limited and oddered on a first-come, first-served basis
  • For Guests & Patrons Only - The car park of for Hotel guests and authorised visitors. Unauthorised vehicles may be removed.
  • Park Considerately - Please park within the marked bays and avoid blocking other vehicles, access routes or emergency areas
  • Drive Safely - Keep your speed low and drive carefully while in the car park
  • Overnight Parking - Only registered Hotel guests may leave vehicles overnight
  • Check-in - You will be required to supply your car regisrtation
 
The Hotel reserves the right to update these terms or manage the parking as needed.

Noise Disclaimer

  • The hotel regularly hosts events and parties, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, which may result in noise from both residents and non-residents.
  • We will do our best to allocate quieter rooms on request, but this cannot be guaranteed.
  • Downings is a popular destination and may have external noise beyond our control.

Code of Conduct

  • Behaviour:  Any guest causing disturbance may be asked to leave immediately, without refund. Group organisers are responsible for all guests in their party.
  • Noise: Please respect other guests by keeping noise to a minimum, especially at night.
  • Damages: Additional charges will apply for damages beyond normal use (e.g. stained linens, missing items, damages any part of the room ie TV). A full list of potential charges is available upon request.
